SEAWEED PEPPER
Seaweed Pepper (Piper nigrum / aromatic blend), an aromatic spice with marine notes—slightly iodine-like and subtly peppery—is ideal for seasoning fish, seafood, sauces, salads, and exotic dishes. Prized for its stimulating and digestive properties, it adds freshness, depth, and character to all your culinary creations. A natural product, it guarantees a unique aroma and carefully selected quality.
Seaweed pepper is the result of a wonderful blend of two of our land's treasures.
Edible seaweed has many benefits. It is used as a condiment (raw or cooked), but also as a key ingredient in much more elaborate recipes. Seaweed can even serve as a dietary supplement.
Seaweed has been consumed primarily in South Asia (as a type of seafood) since the 5th century! In the 20th century, researchers discovered the physicochemical properties of seaweed and its extraordinary capabilities:
- gelling agents and texturizers
- thickeners
- emulsifiers
- stabilizers
Algae, which consist of 70% to 90% of water, are rich in minerals (calcium, magnesium, iron), trace elements, vitamins (particularly A, C, and E), and fiber and complete proteins.
For all these reasons, seaweed pepper is a real asset to your kitchen, both for its unique appearance and its health benefits.
Did you know? Bladderwrack (a type of seaweed we use in our blend) was used by the Romans to relieve joint pain.
