ORGANIC FENNEL
Organic fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), an aromatic herb grown using organic farming methods, offers mild, slightly sweet, and subtly anise-like notes, ideal for flavoring soups, salads, sauces, fish, and stews. Valued for its digestive and invigorating properties, it adds freshness and authenticity to all your culinary creations. A natural product, it guarantees an intense aroma and rigorously selected organic quality.
Organic Fennel is a plant in the Apiaceae family, the same family as carrots, parsley, cumin, and cilantro. It is native to the Mediterranean and the Middle East, where it is still primarily grown today. It is a vegetable well-suited to temperate climates. It works equally well in both Mediterranean and Indian cuisine. It is particularly appealing for its sweet and spicy flavor, with a hint of anise.
You can use it to season your meats and poultry, add flavor to your herbal teas and infusions, and much more.
We offer whole fennel seeds, which are the dried fruits of Foeniculum vulgare, or ground fennel (made by grinding the seeds).
There are several varieties of fennel, such as Provençal fennel and branch fennel. Provençal fennel has a slightly anise-like flavor and is used to season many dishes. In appearance, its color ranges from yellowish-brown to brown. Stalk fennel, on the other hand, consists of long, grayish-green stalks and blooms mainly in late summer (August–September).
Known for its nutritional value, organic fennel also offers numerous health benefits for medicinal use. It is an excellent food for digestion, as consuming it helps regulate the digestive system.
