We believe in responsible sourcing that respects the people who grow our products. That’s why we build strong, equitable relationships with our suppliers. Take São Tomé, for example, where we work hand in hand with local producers through a cooperative we established together. This mutual respect ensures not only the sustainability of the supply chains but also the quality of our raw materials.

We are convinced that good relationships between a company and its suppliers are key to the sustainability of our respective businesses. To that end, Laboratoire d’Herboristerie Générale has made a written commitment in a charter co-signed with its partners.

We are keenly aware of our role, as a player in the agri-food industry, in promoting good health for individuals. For ourselves, for our children, for our customers, and for their children, we make commitments that are reflected in ensuring safety at every stage of our business processes. In addition to our CSR initiatives, we are also pursuing FSSC 22000 certification, which further strengthens the food safety of our products.

You can’t have been working with 100% natural products for decades without taking the environment into account. The Laboratoire d’Herboristerie Générale is aware of its role. A role like that of a hummingbird in the heart of the forest—sometimes in the literal sense! We listen to and support all stakeholders in our industry so that everyone can work toward better managing their impact. This obviously involves sourcing more organic products, but it also goes beyond that.
